SWEET "16"

 I can't believe that our daughter is "16"!!  Britten has been dreaming of, and we have been dreading this day for years. :)  I think she is more excited for the driving than for the dating, thank goodness!  Britten is such a good girl, we are proud of the young woman she's become.  She's a wonderful example to her friends and family!  We love you sis! 
Her best friend Nicole and I planned a surprise party for her.  Our plans went a little askew when she sprained her ankle (again) at softball practice that day, and came home early.  But, we ended up distracting her by carrying her down to Nicole's house with a bucket of ice water to watch a movie and hang out.  We had a house full of teenagers waiting for her when she came home for cake.  She was very surprised!  They played games, visited and ate cake.  Britt was very happy and had a great time! 

                           
 Spencer spent the day cleaning up outside and hanging these lights across the patio.  {They were so much fun!  She loved it!}  We were planning on them hanging out outside, but the day was cold and everyone stayed inside for most of the party.  The few who stayed longer did go outside to build a fire in the fire pit and make s'mores.  They had a lot of fun.
