Our kids are finally big enough to act out thenativity story without any help.
Britten helped all the kids find a simple costume
and got everyone ready, while Spencer and I
finished cleaning up dinner. Then Spencer read
the Christmas story, while the kids walked in
on cue for their part. We all sang songs that
went along with each part. Afterwards, our
children willingly went to bed. (@7:30) :)
The one day of the year that they are willing
to go to bed early. It was great!
I only hope that this tradition of acting
out the nativity story, will help the
kids focus on the true meaning of Christmas,
while pushing Santa to the back of their
minds and keeping Christ in their hearts.
